They cancelled the meeting immediately and I didn’t here from anyone for about 14 days. They explained they wanted a written and signed statement from me but when i asked if i could various copies of the complaint filed against me or the proper procedure according to the hospital dealing with combative patients they refused each time. Finally after 20 days they informed me either i do it or I’m fired. i was terminated.

i was convicted of a dui in florida in april of 2010.. a short period of time later i took out an fr44 insurance policy for about 9 months but it got to be to expensive and since i was working right across the street from my house i went ahead and canceled the policy. well i called the tax collector today in order to see what it was that i needed to reinstate my license (as i had before) and they simply told me i had a few fines to pay and to complete basic drivers improvement school and bring proof of insurance in when i have completed everything. I own my car (it’s paid off) and I would rather buy the bumper and someone I know replace the bumper, rather than go to the body shop of AAA’s choice. AAA does not want to give me a check and is saying they want to pay a body shop to do it. Can they do this? Has anyone had there home owners insurance cancelled for a minuscule reason?
In short I’ve had Allstate for almost two months when I got a letter stating that my homeowners insurance will be cancelled because I have loose or missing shingles and if I correct the problem that they may reinstate me. I find it hard to believe that they would cancel me for a reason like that. Also mind you I live by the water but not in a flood zone.

About a year ago we had some slight storm damage to our old weather beaten roof (which does need to be overlayed) Its has never leaked & if shingles go missing we have them replaced. After that storm we called our insurance co. planning to have re-roof the house. The adjuster came out and said it was in bad enough shape to be covered, we weren’t given very much to have the roof fixed but it would help. To stay within budget, we asked a friend who owned roofing biz to do the job for us & he swore he would do so but left us hanging all this time. I hate to say but in that time, we lost our jobs and ended up having to live on the ins. $ for food. We planned on replacing the $ as soon as we found work (which we’re working on building the $ up now). We have decided to sell the house this spring and may not have enough to have all the roof done by then (we’re going to try). If not, can we still somehow sell the house (we need to move to a bigger town for work)."
